Your endothelium is a single layer of cells that lines the inside of every artery, vein, and capillary in your body. Stretched flat, it would cover several tennis courts.
It is not passive plumbing. It is an active organ that decides, moment to moment, how much your vessels open, how easily blood flows, and how quickly oxygen reaches the tissues that need it.
